Hello Good People,
Hope You've read my last blog Post about
"Peg Solitaire Game"
Today I'll be writing about a fair which Tata-Steel organized in our City "Jamshedpur" few days back.
The fair is known as "Tribal Fair (Samvaad) 2015"
So lets begin:
Tata-Steel Organized "Tribal conclave ‘Samvaad 2015’
From:15th November 2015 to 22nd November 2015
Venue:Regal Ground (Gopal Maidan)
Bistupur Jamshedpur (Jharkhand) India.
By the way I still Prefer to call this beautiful Ground as
"Regal Ground"
"40 Tribes" from "19 States" exhibit their amazing Handicrafts, artworks & skills followed by power-packed Tribal dance Performances from tribal's who gathered here from different parts of india.
This event is held to celebrate the Birth-Anniversary of
Birsa Munda, the iconic Indian tribal freedom fighter”
The author of this blog "Evewin Lakra" like to say a Big Thankyou to "Tata-Steel" for organizing such a Fabulous event.
(My Special Thanks goes to Mr.Ashish Mathur (MD JUSCO) ) & all the other Dignitaries of Tata-Steel Like
"Sir Cyrus Pallonji Mistry" (Chairman of Tata Group)
Kudos to all who helped this event to be organized. They've given tribal people of India a "Platform" to showcase their Talents.
I got the opportunity to visit the "Tribal Fair (Samvaad) 2015" on 16th November 2015.At the Morning Time I visited "Regal Ground" at around 11:00 A.M. with my mom & sister.
That time there was less crowd, We started our trip by visiting the "Tribal Stalls" which was full of amazingly crafted products like
"Ethnic Tribal Painting" Handicrafts, Tribal Clothes, Tribal Herbal Products,Tribal foods & many more items were waiting for us to get explored but whenever I see a food stall I visit it 1st :)
so I was enjoying my Chinese noodles & suddenly my mom brought
"Pav bhaji" we enjoyed our food but my eye was focusing on the "Pani-Puri" stall next to the chinese noodles stall, but the person selling the "Gol-Gappa" said it'll take around 1 hours to set-up his stall coz He's late today, So I've decided to leave my Pani-Puri dream and we went ahead to explore the Tribal Stall & products which we can buy from this fair.
Oh........forgot to tell you all,
The "Entry Fee" to Enter
"Tribal Fair ‘Samvaad 2015’ was Absolutely "FREE"
(Anyone can Enter without Paying any Fee)
Thankyou To The Organizers for taking such a wonderful decision to attract more and more people to witness this great Event.
"Evewin Lakra" Small Tip To "Canvas India" Jamshepdur Organizers:
I wonder why "Canvas India" don't understand if they make
Entry "Free" then more customer will buy more products from all the stalls.
Or at-least Charge Decent amount like Rs.5 To Rs.10
& If "Canvas India" is Charging Rs.20 To Rs.30 For "ENTRY" in "Gopal-Maidan" People should get some product like we used to get in Other Tribal Fair
(Eg.Soap + other house-hold product) free with every Entry.
Looks like "Canvas India" is becoming Business Oriented.
Never-mind its my Personal Tip, Follow it if you want more people to buy products which is displayed in that event.
"Radio Rj's & lucky Draw Events" can't sell Displayed Products in
"Canvas India" Learn from this wonderfully organized event like
"Tribal Fair (Samvaad) 2015"
There a small saying "When Other Do, its "Good" but When "Tribals" Do Its Better"
Quote By ~Evewin Lakra
Don't wanna create a war between Tribal People & Other General People But I have to write what I've witnessed, sorry If I hurt anyone feelings.
Hey "Evewin" its enough cursing "Canvas India" Get back to your BLOG POST ABOUT TRIBAL FAIR 2015 :)
Oh......Yes.....So where was I ?
We witnessed a "Hut" which was made & decorated beautifully, depicting the Replica of the actual "HUT" which one can witness in the tribal town of India (Specially in Jharkhand Region)
The hut ceiling was made from Husk
(HINDI:Puals English:Dry-Grass)) & the walls were made from,I guess it was "Plywood Sheets" Painted in "Brown" Colors to make people believe, its made from Mud :) the wall were wonderfully decorated by Tribal Paintings & Designs that made it look so "REAL"
I entered the "Hut" & saw a One medium Size "Earthen pot"
below it I spotted some "Dry Woods" depicting the "Cooking" Style of the Tribal People. Really Impressed by the amount of Detailing done by the people who prepared this "Demo-Hut", Excellent Job.
Again Just a Small tip by "Evewin"
Instead of "Electric Light Bulbs" you can use modern "Laltens" with looks like Traditional "Laltens" but uses electricity to light up a small dim "candle" like bulb light & it'll make the Hut look more realistic.
In this hut we also saw one Traditional Tool which the tribal people uses to ground RICE & Other food Grains.
(its called "Deki" (a tool made from Wood for Grounding Dry Rice or Grains)
In (Hindi) "Rice" is called "Chawal"
After this Demo-hut we visited the "Birhor-Hut" which was made with Only Leaves & some bamboo sticks as frame to support the Leaves.
This "Birhor-Hut" was again an amazing sight to witness & I couldn't stop myself to explore the hut from inside, it felt so cold inside the hut, may be a drop of 5-8 degree Celsius temperature as compared to the Outside temperature just by the Power of Leaves, Great.
In this years "Tribal Fair" The biggest tent was made in the shape of a "BIG Nagara Instrument" representing the Musical Character of Tribal People, as the love to play such intruments in many occasions.
Inside this tent few Spokesperson were called to speak on topics related to Tribes of India & their Work.
Many Dramas & other performances were held inside & People were enjoying the LIVE Show.
I saw many owner of the tribal stalls were carrying
"Jute Tote Bags"
I think its been provided to them by the organizers of this fair.
Nice way to promote beautiful environment friendly
"Jute Bags" instead of the Harmful Polythene Plastic Bags.
The Entrance Gate was also decorated with the Tribal Arts & Paintings.
People were enjoying the event to the fullest, they were clicking Pictures of every tibal artwork displayed with their SmartPhones.
On the next day also (17t November 2015) Me & my mom were present in this fair but this time duing the evening time.
(I still remember on that day,the roads of Jamshedpur were so vacant because most of the People Celebrating the
"Chhath-Festival" were present in the "RIVERS" of Jamshedpur & thus the roads & the city looked so Peaceful & Quite but during the "NIGHT TIME" Everything CHANGED.
Loud Speakers in River Area With High Intensity Fireworks.
Really Bad for people who consider "NOISE" as a TYPE of "Pollution"
No One Consider this Stupid thing known as "NOISE" as a type of "Pollution" in My City. So Just have to live with it, My Bad Luck.
In The END, I give "5 Golden Star" to "Tribal conclave ‘Samvaad 2015’ for Giving us an insight of Life of tribal peoples of India.
I've also made a small, (approx 5 minute duration video) about
"Tribal conclave ‘Samvaad 2015’ watch it & hope you'll like it.
Thanks to all my readers, Peace & Enjoy Your Day.
