KHADI is not just a cloth, it is a whole movement started by Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi . Mahatma Gandhi began promoting the spinning of khadi for rural self-employment and self-reliance in 1920s .India thus making khadi an integral part and icon of the Swadeshi movement.
"I believe that where there is pure and active love for the poor there is God also. I see God in every thread that I draw on the spinning wheel."
~ Mahatma Gandhi ((Young India,20-5-1926)
A Sweet Little Replica Of Hut .Huts are used as temporary shelter by people. Huts are quickly built of readily available materials such as ice, stone, grass, palm leaves, branches and/or mud and exist in practically all nomadic cultures.
“Many who build castles in the air cannot build a hut on earth”
~ German Proverb.
